کاربرد Get

Get

یکی از افعال بسیار پرکاربرد در انگلیسی است و اولین ساختاری که براش داریم؛ ساختار زیر است:

Get + noun / pronoun

Noun=اسم

Pronoun=ضمیر

که در این صورت معنی این فعل به افعال زیر خیلی شبیه است؛ و یا یه چیزی تو این تریپها

receive, fetch, earn, obtain, catch

مثالز:
I got a call from James yesterday. = I received a call from James yesterday

دریافت کردن

I have got your letter

دریافت کردن

Will you get the kids from school? = Will you fetch the kids from school?

رفتن وآوردن

He gets $300 a month. = He earns $300 a month

به دست آوردن

Can you come and get me from the airport?

رفتن وآوردن

Whenever I listen to loud music, I get a headache

گرفتن

I am getting a toothache

بعد از فعل

Get

ممکنه که فاعل مستقیم و غیر مستقیم بیاد

a direct object and an indirect object

مثال:

OK. I will get you a drink.

Indirect object – youفاعل غیرمستقیم

direct object – a drinkفاعل مستقیم

همچنین ممکنه به معنی فهمیدن هم به کار بره

مثال:
Did you get me? = Did you understand what I said?

جالب اینکه ممکنه به معنی گیر آوردن و تنبیه کردن هم معنی بده

مثال:

The taxmen will get you in the end
